Buttermilk Churro Waffles | This Is Why I’m Full
The Buttermilk Churro Waffles recipe has been on my news feed for awhile now and we’ve been wanting to try it. Recently we made Buttermilk Chicken Strips so there was leftover buttermilk. We decided to use the remainder on this waffle recipe! We use King Arthur Flour in our baking recipes, and per their website: here we substituted the milk that the recipe originally calls for with buttermilk and baking soda. It does make for a longer recipe because we have more ingredients but the trade off is delicious Buttermilk Churros. We haven’t made it the “regular” way but we may not, the waffles came out light a fluffy like you’d expect with a buttermilk base. We didn’t let these waffles cool in the slightest when we made them, burned mouth and all they were an amazingly delicious spin on regular ol’ waffles.
