Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip Cookies|This Is Why I’m Full
Everyone has a family recipe for Chocolate chip cookies. How about peanut butter? I used to make these all the time with my parents. Some of my fondest childhood moments were sitting in the kitchen helping my mother make some cookies. She would let me lick the spoons and if I was really helpful let me have cookies right out of the oven. Those moments would have to be the most well behaved I’ve been as a child, because these cookies are delicious, and when they’re warm you will want to eat the entire batch before they have a chance to cool off.
If my mom left me alone in the kitchen with them she undoubtedly came back to only half a batch of cookies as I would eat as many as I could before she came back. But I was cute, so I was never scolded we just made another batch of cookies to account for what I had eaten. When I eventually have kids of my own I think I will make these Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip Cookies with them!

- ½ cup Butter
- 1¼ cup Packed brown sugar
- ¾ cup Peanut butter
- 1 egg
- 1 tbsp Vanilla extract
- 1¾ cups Flour
- ¾ tsp Baking soda
- ¾ tsp Salt
- It's optional to add chocolate chips. I do this, its even more delicious!
- Preheat the oven to 350 F.
- Cream together the butter, brown sugar and peanut butter. Add the egg and vanilla extract, mix well. Add in the flour, baking soda and salt.
- Optional: Add chocolate chips for a peanut butter chocolate chip version!
- Roll dough into 1-inch balls (or drop by tablespoon scoop) and place onto ungreasedcookie sheet. Made a criss-cross design with a fork, slightly pushing cookie down.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes at 350 degrees.
- Let cool for 1-2 minutes on cookie sheet before moving to cooling rack.
