Another delicious slow cooker recipe, beef stroganoff! We made this a little different the the classic way, using ground beef instead of cubed beef, or strips. Also instead of eating it over rice, we used golden browned hash browns. This is a great new spin on a classic recipe. We don’t use a ton of Worcestershire sauce in our recipe because it can be over powering when it cooks in the slow cooker
all day our original recipe called for double the amount we have posted in ours. If you love the taste feel free to add more, its just not to our liking.
You will love this over hash browns though, that I can guarantee! We fried them in a pan with butter, and pepper until they were a nice golden brown and crispy on the outside. I thought my wife was kidding when she wanted to make hash browns with this recipe, maybe it was one of her Irish fancies or there was a sale on potatoes that day but I have to give it to her. It’s delicious.

- 2 lb ground beef
- 2 can condensed golden mushroom soup
- 1 large onion diced
- 3 tbsp Worcestershire
- 1 cup Water
- 8 oz of cream cheese
- 1 tsp garlic salt
- In the slow cooker stir in all the ingredients, except the meat and the Cream Cheese
- Once combined add the meat and mix together.
- Cook on Low for 5 hours.
- Cut up the cream cheese into cubes just before serving and turn crockpot on high.
- Stir the cream cheese in until all combined.
- You might have to put the lid back on and leave for 10 minutes.
- (I also added 1 tbsp of cornstarch to thicken it up!)
- Serve over egg noodles, rice, mashed potatoes, eat it like soup, etc. (We made hash browns to go along with it, yum!)
- Enjoy!
